About me...
I've always loved making things but as a youngster I shied away from pursuing creative subjects at school and college and concentrated instead on another subject that I loved - modern languages. After completing a degree I decided that I really did want to take the plunge and do something creative. So... I moved to Sussex to work in a puppet workshop.
I spent five years working on many weird and wonderful puppet-making projects, as well as being a telephonist, tea lady, puppet-string-untangler, and all-round helpful dude. After this unexpected adventure I took a job in my local library, where I still work today, but wanted to carry on making things as well. So I create things that I hope will bring joy and fun to everyday life.
About my work...
I use various textile techniques and fabrics to create useful and decorative items. From hand-making the felt to designing and making my own little printing blocks, I love to infuse my items with individuality and a quirky charm.
I love nature, animals, colours and sparkles and these themes tend to appear often in my work! I like to play around with combinations of textures, colours and prints. There are so many possibilities to explore. This means that most of my pieces are one of a kind and that when you buy something from me it is certainly made with love.
